Maine Lighthouse Proposal

The Proposal

On a stunning August morning along Ogunquit's Marginal Way, we met Jess and Will for what appeared to be a standard couples photoshoot. We strolled to Lobster Point Lighthouse, where I positioned them for what seemed like a simple pose—Jess would turn around, walk to Will, and take his hand for a playful twirl. But as the photo sequence below reveals, Will had secretly planned something much more memorable for this picture-perfect Maine moment...

The Newly Engaged Bliss

After Will popped the question and Jess said yes, the real fun began!

We took some time to soak in the moment right there by the lighthouse, with both of them beaming from ear to ear and Jess stealing glances at her new ring every few seconds. The surprise proposal naturally flowed into an engagement session as we kept walking along the Marginal Way. The morning sun looked amazing on the water as we strolled the path, stopping here and there for photos wherever the view caught our eye. I loved watching how they couldn't stop smiling and touching - holding hands, little hugs, and sweet kisses that showed just how happy they were. Other people walking by would smile and congratulate them, which just added to the good vibes. What made these photos so special was seeing how they settled into their new engagement as we went along - the nervous excitement from the proposal turning into this relaxed, can't-stop-grinning happiness that showed in every shot. We ended up with a beautiful mix of photos capturing their first few hours as an engaged couple.
